【摘要】:Thistestmethodprovidesameansforevaluatingtheabilityofpozzolansandgroundgranulatedblast-furnaceslagtocontroldeleteriousinternalexpansionduetoalkali-silicareactionwhenusedwithanaggregateintendedforuseinconcrete.ItisbasedontheAcceleratedTestMethoddevelopedattheNationalBuildingResearchInstitute(NBRI)intheRepublicofSouthAfrica(1-4).Resultsobtainedusingthistestmethodmayoverestimatethereactivityofsometypesofaggregatesifusedinservicewiththesamepozzolansorslagandhydrauliccementoflowalkalicontent.Differentlevelsofpozzolanandgroundgranulatedblast-furnaceslagmayrequiretestingtodeterminetheamountrequiredtoreduceexpansiontoanacceptablelevel.Pozzolansandgroundgranulatedblast-furnaceslagmaybetestedseparatelyorincombination.Itisrecommendedtotestthesameaggregateandhydrauliccement(withoutpozzolansandslag)usingTestMethodC1260.Thistestmethodmayunderestimatetheexpansionofcementitioussystemscontainingpozzolanswithanalkalicontent>4.0%sodiumoxideequivalent(7-9).ItisrecommendedthatsuchmaterialsbetestedusingTestMethodC1293.1.1Thistestmethodpermitsdetectionwithin16daysofthepotentialfordeleteriousalkali-silicareactionofcombinationsofcementitiousmaterialsandaggregateinmortarbars.Thecementitiousmaterialsarecomposedofvariousproportionsofhydrauliccement,pozzolansandgroundgranulatedblast-furnaceslag.1.2Thetestresultsareonlyvalidforthespecificcombinationsofpozzolan,slag,andreactiveaggregatestested.1.3Thistestisnotsuitableforevaluatingthepotentialfordeleteriousreactionofcombinationsofhydrauliccementandaggregate(thatis,intheabsenceofpozzolansorgroundgranulatedblast-furnaceslag).1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.AspecificprecautionarystatementisgiveninthesectiononReagents.
